Who we are

 We are a large consortium with the focus of improving pig survivability in the U.S. swine industry. Our team is made up of Iowa State, Kansas State and Purdue faculty, staff and students who collaborate through industry partnerships to maximize pig survivability.

Dr. Jason Ross - Iowa State University

Dr. Ross is an Associate Professor in the Animal Science department, and specializes in swine reproductive physiology. He is also the director of the Iowa Pork Industry Center.

Dr. Joel DeRouchey - Kansas State University

Dr. Mike Tokach - Kansas State University

Dr. Nicholas Gabler - Iowa State University

Dr. Gabler is an Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Science. He researches and teaches in the area of swine nutrition and physiology.

Dr. Anna Johnson - Iowa State University

Dr. Johnson is a Professor in the Animal Science department. Her area of expertise is in farm animal behavior and well-being.

Dr. Aileen Keating - Iowa State University

Dr. Keating is an Associate Professor focusing in reproductive physiology and toxicology in the Department of Animal Science.

Dr. Linhares is an Assistant Professor in Veterinary Diagnostic and Production Animal Medicine, and the Veterinary Preventative Medicine graduate programs.

Dr. Chris Rademacher - Iowa State University

Dr. Rademacher is a Clinical Associate Professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Iowa State Extension veterinarian, and is Associate Director of the Iowa Pork Industry Center.

Dr. Stephan Schmitz-Esser - Iowa State University
